Northumberland Artists - Studios, workshop spaces and hire opportunities 2023

Updated: Mar 15, 2023

Culture Northumberland exists to amplify the work of the Cultural and Heritage sector in Northumberland and support those who contribute to it.

This is a call out for information in order to better display (artist) studios and bookable workshop/ rehearsal space here in Northumberland as part of an online set of resources housed here on the Culture Northumberland website.

We have a wealth of artists, makers, theatre folks and writers working here in Northumberland.

Some of you have studios are open to the public, some have workshop space, some are closed and within private homes. Some of you sell online, others would like colleagues to work with.

We want to profile where there is already space to work and make and will be building a web page (subject to funding) with more detail and photos later this year.

We have put together this short listicle (for now) to show the breadth and diversity of makers, artists and opportunities of spaces here in Northumberland.

Here's a snap shot of the diversity of space we have in the county.

Please feel free to email us or fill in our google form if you would like to list your space;

Studios, spaces and more

There are collection of artist studios in Felton (Gallery 45) and Broomhill (The Old Bathhouse) and soon to be some in Amble.

Some Northumberland based artists work from home in spare rooms or purpose built rooms or garden spaces. Over 40 of you have filled in our survey already - thank-you!

If you are an artist, lead workshops or know about space that can be used to create in, please get in touch and let us know about it so we can add to this list and plan our new web page!

You can fill in this SHORT google form or email us.

Thanks as always for your continued support,

Claire and the Culture Northumberland Team
